The intersection

I attended an amazing seminar this weekend.

One nugget that stood out among all the other amazing diamonds of inspiration:

“Maximum growth occurs at the intersection of support and challenge.”-Dr. Russ Corey

We need both in order to truly become the best versions of ourselves.

Seek out friends/mentors that can provide both.

The people you like to be around the most are probably already fulfilling that role. Relish in their company!

If I can ever help you in wither department, don’t hesitate to reach out!!

Happy Monday!

A note from the Universe

I referenced this service before, but I LOVE the notes from the Universe.

You set up an account, put in your goals, and answer a few questions, and you get daily emails like the one above.  Pretty slick!

This one is so true!

Every obstacle leads to a brighter future.  We may not be able to see that in the short term, in fact it may take years for us to look back and see how our struggles paved the way for bigger successes down the road.

But they ALWAYS lead to better horizons!

-Happy Thursday!

Obstacles are meant to be overcome

“Remember, if everything came easy we wouldn’t know what it felt like to truly succeed. Obstacles are meant to be overcome. Fear is meant to be conquered. Success is meant to be achieved.
Believe. Take Action. Play to Win Today.” Jon Gordon
Thank you, Jessica for sharing this today!
A long time ago, my brother and I talked about life’s obstacles were like hurdles, and we coined a phrase to help each other along: “Just Keep Jumping.”
Jump over your obstacles to a brighter future!

Thank you for sharing this Ashley!

Sprinkle love wherever you go! (Show some courage! Did you know the root word of courage is cor which is Latin for heart/love? Read more about that and how it connects here!)

The world will be better for it!

P.S. Check out my book: Purposely Positive: How to Live an Intentional and Inspired Life to find out how to light up your own life, so that you have love to share with everyone!

Today of all days

9.11.01

Never forget.

Never forget all the souls this world lost.

So many futures, erased.

2,977 people perished.

Today, pay homage to all the brave souls who in the face of danger, had the courage to risk their lives trying to save strangers.

We can honor them by showing courage in our lives.

We may not be called to run into a burning building or pull victims from rubble.

However, the root word of courage is cor which is Latin for heart.

We can show courage in our lives by leading with our heart.

Love more today.

Lead with your heart and share it with others.

Be significant in the lives of others. You never know who desperately needs your smile, your compassion, your love.

SHINE your LIGHT!

Too often, we dim our lights behind the guise of humility. But in reality, that is selfishness.

Do not be boastful, but share your light so that you may illuminate the world.

We NEED your light!

I hope you light up your day!

Begin to love thyself…

A few snippets of a poem by Kim Mcmillen:

As I began to love myself

I quit trying to always be right,

and ever since I was wrong less of the time. Today I discovered that is Modesty.

As I began to love myself

I refused to go on living in the past

and worrying about the future.

Now, I only live for the moment,

where everything is happening.

Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it Fulfillment.

As I began to love myself

I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick.

But as I connected it to my heart,

my mind became a valuable ally.

Today I call this connection Wisdom of the Heart.

Have an amazing day!

What’s guiding you?

“When you let all that is important to you guide you in your life’s journey, you’ll ensure that the choices you make will always be rewarding as well as spiritually enriching. It’s easy to give our day-to-day decisions little regard because they seem so inconsequential within the context of the whole of our lives.  Making your beliefs an integral part of your existence can help you see the complex ways short and long term choices will influence your experience. You’ll be more apt to carefully weigh your options to determine whether they are in accordance with your values and will help you in the pursuit of your dreams. The whole of your life will take on a new significance. The beliefs that guide you today will help you find soulful choices.”-DailyOm.com
