Always Learning

IMG_9474.jpg

Every experience provides us with an opportunity to learn.

Happy, sad, traumatic, exhilarating… they all allow us to gain knowledge, on what to do if/when we are presented with a similar situation in the future.

Take some time to understand and revel in each experience, knowing no matter what, we will emerge better and more wise 🙂

Happy Wednesday!

“When a team has camaraderie and clarity, progress is inevitable.”

SO VERY true!

A couple of keys here…

Who is on your “team”?

Your life is full of different groups of people. Your family, your friends, your co-workers, and your mentors.

Make sure you are surrounding yourself with people who can lift you up, push you to excel and share a common vision.

When you can gather these teams, enjoy each other, work to improve together, support one another with clarity, there is no way to go but up.

When you have the right support environment, you will be propelled toward your dreams.

Surround yourself with the good peeps, my friends :)!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Intrinsic Motivation

“You can motivate by fear, and you can motivate by reward. But both those methods are only temporary. The only lasting thing is self motivation.”-Homer Rice

Intrinsic-and-extrinsic-motivation

I’m sure you have big dreams, big goals that you want to accomplish.

Undoubtedly, we can become motivated by achieving things and crossing “finish lines.”

The key to sustained improvement, to getting up each time after falling/being knocked down isn’t these finish lines, however.

The key is the WHY.

The key lies in our internal motivation, our reasons for accomplishing these or any goal whatsoever.

Connect to that drive and we become unstoppable!

Happy connecting!

Your “obstacles” create paths for others

IMG_9415.jpg

When you are going through a tough time, remember 2 things:

  1. You are never given anything you cannot handle in life, and when you climb the obstacle, others will learn from your amazing example.
  2. More than likely, someone has been in similar shoes before, and they got through the hardship as well.

Keep climbing my friends!

Where you are now is an old dream

Thanks to Ashley for sharing this today.

Sometimes we forget how far we’ve come.

A wise man gave me some advice once: Take 10 minutes and write out all the positive experiences, things, feelings, etc that you have had in the past 10 years that you didn’t have 10 years prior.

It may take a bit to get going, but once you start to realize all the things you’ve been blessed with over the past 10 years, they start flowing like a waterfall.

Take some time to sit in gratitude and to realize that dreams do come true  🙂

Happy dreaming my friends!

Melded minds

Today, Jessica shared with us this great quote:

“What you leave behind is not engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”-Pericles

I love this quote… and it was SUPER CRAZY that I actually sent the exact quote out to my inspirational text group this morning (she is not a part of that group).

Just goes to show we needed to hear and share that sentiment today!

Let’s all make our goals today to impact others in a loving, compassionate way. Let’s weave some magic into their lives 🙂

The power of your mind

Thank you Ashley, for sharing this today from The DailyOm.

“The power of the mind is a curious thing, because it is so powerful yet so difficult to control sometimes. We find ourselves thinking a certain way, knowing that this thought may be creating trouble for us yet we find it difficult to stop. For example, many people have the experience of getting sick at the same time every year or every time they go on a plane. They may even be aware that their beliefs impact their experiences, so continue to think they will get sick and they do.”

What we think about, we bring about.

And we can get “stuck” in thought patterns that bring about predictable (positive or negative) results.

The key, then, is to realize these patterns and work to change them.

We must be conscious of our thoughts to reprogram these patterns to bring about desired results.

In other words, we must be Purposely Positive (shameless book plug) in order to forge the lives we truly want to create!

Get busy forging 🙂

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Uncertainty

scotland

Jessica contributed this wonderful piece from the Daily OM newsletter today.

“Challenge and experience are what life is truly about, and if we allow ourselves to live tentatively, we will be missing out on a wealth of encounters. So today allow yourself to live fully, teach yourself to appreciate the uncertainty as a time of unlimited possibilities, indulge yourself in the suspense of life and let the surprises of your own story unfurl before you.”

I love this!

uncertainty = unlimited possibilities!

Have an amazing Tuesday!

So Grateful!

“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”-Giblert C Chesterton.

I am so thankful for my life and for all those that make it possible. Below is a copy of what I posted in my other blog this morning, but it bears repeating. I am grateful!

Last week I was out of the office as I took my family and my mom and dad on a trip to Scotland!

10 years ago, when I was trying to open my office, I couldn’t secure a business Lon even though I had 5 years experience at a different chiropractic office and had some money in the bank.

My parents had confidence in me and they loaned me the money.

I will be forever grateful.

They had never been to a Chiropractor before. They grew up very medically oriented so chiropractic at that time was not on their radar.

I also had put them through a fair share of teenage tribulations when I was younger…

Nevertheless, they trusted me.

In those 10 years, I have been beyond blessed to be a part of so many lives.

Lindeman Chiropractic is thriving, and I am so grateful.

I paid off the loan last year and with that final payment, I told my parents I wanted to take them to Scotland to golf, to explore and to enjoy each other’s company.

It was a wonderful trip, we connected, we oohed and ahhed at castles, lochs and waterfalls. It was amazing and I am so grateful!

Thank you to all of the wonderful patients I have had the honor of helping these past 10 years. You have helped me do what I love to do. You give me so much joy everyday. I get to hold and adjust your babies, children, spouses and parents. I get to witness miracles. Every. Single. Day. My family is able to experience amazing places and we are stable financially.

I am so grateful!

Thank you!
