Uncertainty

Jessica contributed this wonderful piece from the Daily OM newsletter today.

“Challenge and experience are what life is truly about, and if we allow ourselves to live tentatively, we will be missing out on a wealth of encounters. So today allow yourself to live fully, teach yourself to appreciate the uncertainty as a time of unlimited possibilities, indulge yourself in the suspense of life and let the surprises of your own story unfurl before you.”

I love this!

uncertainty = unlimited possibilities!

So Grateful!

“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”-Giblert C Chesterton.

I am so thankful for my life and for all those that make it possible. Below is a copy of what I posted in my other blog this morning, but it bears repeating. I am grateful!

Last week I was out of the office as I took my family and my mom and dad on a trip to Scotland!

10 years ago, when I was trying to open my office, I couldn’t secure a business Lon even though I had 5 years experience at a different chiropractic office and had some money in the bank.

My parents had confidence in me and they loaned me the money.

I will be forever grateful.

They had never been to a Chiropractor before. They grew up very medically oriented so chiropractic at that time was not on their radar.

I also had put them through a fair share of teenage tribulations when I was younger…

Nevertheless, they trusted me.

In those 10 years, I have been beyond blessed to be a part of so many lives.

Lindeman Chiropractic is thriving, and I am so grateful.

I paid off the loan last year and with that final payment, I told my parents I wanted to take them to Scotland to golf, to explore and to enjoy each other’s company.

It was a wonderful trip, we connected, we oohed and ahhed at castles, lochs and waterfalls. It was amazing and I am so grateful!

Thank you to all of the wonderful patients I have had the honor of helping these past 10 years. You have helped me do what I love to do. You give me so much joy everyday. I get to hold and adjust your babies, children, spouses and parents. I get to witness miracles. Every. Single. Day. My family is able to experience amazing places and we are stable financially.

I am so grateful!

Thank you!

Don’t aim for success or happiness

“Don’t aim at success-the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue…as the unintended side effect of ones personal dedication to a course greater than oneself.”-Victor Frankl “Man’s Search For Meaning” and reprinted in the book below.

The most powerful investment

This is from “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey.

I love it!

We need to forge our legacy. We are our greatest instrument, and when we put work into “sharpening that saw” as Mr. Covey puts it, we create a better masterpiece.

-Let’s get busy sharpening!

Have a wonderful day!

Pebbles or mountains?

Pebble-in-shoe

“It isn’t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out, it’s the pebble in your shoe.”
— Muhammad Ali

This quotation has been attributed to a few different people throughout the years. I do love it though, because it provides a lot of hope!

Our lofty goals don’t wear us out. We can overcome the obstacles as long as we work on OURSELVES.

What truly holds us back is within us/upon us at all times. We need to be vigilant about improving ourselves during our progress toward our dreams, because after all the practice, the progress is the goal!

P.S. Check out the latest review for Dr. Lindeman’s book: Purposely Positive

“I initially bought this book to support a colleague, but I was blown away by the content! Dr. Lindeman carefully crafts each chapter into short absorbable doses by discussing the many aspects of positivity and keeping it light hearted with his wit and humor. He reinforces each chapter with exercises so that the reader gets the most from each application! I can’t recommend highly enough if you are looking for a book that will inspire you to become your best self then this is a must read!!”- Dr. Tucker Woods

Guard your thoughts

“The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. Therefore, guard accordingly…”-Marcus Aurelius

SO TRUE! We need to be conscious of what our subconscious thoughts are telling us. Be proactive with the good stuff 🙂

Have a happy, healthy and whole Thursday!
