YOUR WORTH

know-your-worth

“Your worth is not a product of your intelligence, your talent, your looks, or how much you have accomplished.

Human beings are very much like drops of water in an endless ocean. Our worth comes from our role as distinct individuals as well as our role as an integral part of something larger than ourselves. Simple awakening to this concept can help you rediscover the copious and awe-inspiring worth within each and ever one of us.”- Madison Taylor

Too often we define our value by such trivial things.

YOU ARE POWERFUL.

YOU ARE NECESSARY.

In the scheme of life, you play a vital role to those around you and we are all connected in ways that we cannot truly visualize.

So let me say: I am so glad you are here. I am so thankful that you are who you are. In some way I know my life benefits from your existence and when you let your light shine,  my life (along with countless others’) is all the more brighter. 🙂

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Love + Skill =

I love this quote from BJ Palmer (another Chiropractor/writer :).

When we can combine love with a skill we have, in other words when you can LOVE WHAT YOU DO, it no longer becomes a “do” at all and is a masterpiece of enjoyment.

Even if you don’t love your current job/situation, you can find certain aspect that are enjoyable. Dig into those and have fun today!

Create a masterpiece!

Your “obstacles” create paths for others

IMG_9415.jpg

When you are going through a tough time, remember 2 things:

  1. You are never given anything you cannot handle in life, and when you climb the obstacle, others will learn from your amazing example.
  2. More than likely, someone has been in similar shoes before, and they got through the hardship as well.

Keep climbing my friends!

Where you are now is an old dream

IMG_9384.jpg

Thanks to Ashley for sharing this today.

Sometimes we forget how far we’ve come.

A wise man gave me some advice once: Take 10 minutes and write out all the positive experiences, things, feelings, etc that you have had in the past 10 years that you didn’t have 10 years prior.

It may take a bit to get going, but once you start to realize all the things you’ve been blessed with over the past 10 years, they start flowing like a waterfall.

Take some time to sit in gratitude and to realize that dreams do come true  🙂

Happy dreaming my friends!

Don’t aim for success or happiness

“Don’t aim at success-the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue…as the unintended side effect of ones personal dedication to a course greater than oneself.”-Victor Frankl “Man’s Search For Meaning” and reprinted in the book below.

The most powerful investment

IMG_4814 (1).jpg

This is from “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey.

I love it!

We need to forge our legacy. We are our greatest instrument, and when we put work into “sharpening that saw” as Mr. Covey puts it, we create a better masterpiece.

-Let’s get busy sharpening!

Have a wonderful day!

Learn, Commit, Do (repeated)

“Moving along the upward spiral requires us to learn, commit and do on increasingly higher planes. We deceive ourselves if we think that any one of these is sufficient. To keep progressing, we must learn, commit and do–learn, commit and do—and learn, commit and do again.”-Stephen R Covey

learn commit do

In other words: complacency kills progress. 🙂

Love the process and keep learning, committing and doing!

Happy Thursday,

Little “habits” forge your character

IMG_4479.jpg

I love this from Brendon Burchard’s book “The Motivation Manifesto.” It is such a powerful reminder that we tend to make large intentions for big fixes. However, it is the little things we repeat, day after day that truly create who we are.
