One Word

3341

This time of year, people generally start thinking about New Years Resolutions. The past few years, I’ve done something different. My family and my amazing office staff have also joined in.

Instead of a resolution… we pick ONE WORD that we want our next year to be based upon.

One word we want to be at the forefront of our actions, hearts and attitudes.

One word that will define 2019.

I really like the activity and it is inspiring to share with others and have others share with you.

There is a great book on the subject as well: http://jongordon.com/books/one-word/

Love + Serve + Care = GROWTH

Thanks for sharing Jessica!

“Many people say to focus on growing your business. But I say to focus on loving, serving and caring and your business will grow exponentially. Focus on loving, serving and caring one person at a time and people will be drawn to your business, service, school, hospital, etc. When you love, serve and care you not only change your heart and mind, you change the hearts and minds of those people around you.”

From The Dragontree blogs. http://thedragontree.com/health-articles/

Jon Gordon also is a big proponent:)

Ordinary becomes extraordinary!

Thanks for sharing Jessica!

“There is great potential for happiness hidden in our day-to-day existence, and fully realizing this veiled joy is often little more than a matter of savoring each of our experiences to the fullest extent possible. When we regard the happenings that define our days as ordinary or insignificant, we inadvertently rob them of any meaning they might have conveyed. Yet the ordinary becomes extraordinary each time we admit to ourselves that life’s smallest pleasures and most commonplace events can touch us deeply. As we learn to appreciate and enjoy the world around us, we begin to see that we need not go in search of fun because there is so much of it to be had in the experiences that make up our lives in the present.”

Positive Outlook

Jessica, our office manager extraordinaire, is a HUGE Buffalo Bills fan. She shared this article with us this morning.

“Life is all about the way you confront everyday problems. Do it well, bring patience and a touch of grace, and that strength will be there when those problems are no longer smaller.”

She also reminded us that after Poncho spoke to the Bills, they went on to rout the Jets 41-10 🙂
