Be positive!

Invictus is an amazing poem by William Ernest Henley. Nelson Mandela recited the poem to his fellow captives to remind them that their futures remain up to them.
I discovered the “song” on accident (basically Morgan Freeman’s reading of the poem set to some cool music) Search for “Written featuring Nev and MF.”
Most of us don’t have such troubles, but it bears repeating that you are the master of your fate and you are the captain of your soul!
Thursday, my Office Manager extraordinairre and I attended the National Achievers Congress in Denver. It was great! 2 great, inspiring quotes/things that I took away:
“The odds of you even existing are 400 trillion to one (that’s the odds of being born). You are more likely to win the megamillions lottery 5 times than to be born in the first place”-Gary Vaynerchuk
“Whatever your goals are, what you are really after is the feeling(s) you will get when you achieve those goals. So why not start with working on getting that feeling now, and then achieving goals become a product rather than the end.”-Tony Robbins
LOVE ALL OF IT! Throughout your life, you will have struggles and successes… Love all of them! 🙂

Feel free to substitute your name for “Joel” 🙂

At a construction site in the Midwest, all the workers would sit down together for lunch. Every day Brian would open his lunch pail and complain. “Son if a gun, not pb&j again! I hate peanut butter and jelly!”
He whines about his peanut butter and jelly everyday until finally one day another worker said “for cripes sakes Brian, if you hate pb&j have your wife make you something different!”
Brian said “what do you mean, wife? I’m not married. I make my own sanwhiches.”
Our lives are created by us :-). Complaints usually hold no merit. Get busy forging the life we want and forget about bitching about “sandwiches”

A great thing to do throughout your day, take a moment to say to yourself “I am doing the best I can in this moment, and I also know I can do better :).” (Adapted from The Miracle Morning book)
Be happy in the now with big dreams of the future.
Also know that NOONE can do exactly what you do, because it is utterly true, there is only one of you. (That sounded a little Dr. Seuss-ish, you can throw a fuzzle wuzzle in there for good measure.)
