You build your own walls

IMG_2561.JPG

Many times, we are responsible for the limits we have in life, because in fact… we put them there.

Our self-doubt, our desire to stay within our comfort zone (not expand our horizons), our routines, our beliefs… all of these are bricks in the walls we build to stay right where we are.

Take some time to notice the bricks you build, and then get to work knocking them down!

Happy Monday!

Never made a mistake?

This was sent to my by a good friend this morning (thanks Hartman). His dad took a picture of it on his travels.

And Thanks to Albert for the reminder of this simple truth.

In order to grow, we have to fail, we have to make mistakes.

The key to growth is the fall and the DECISION to get back up and keep going.

March on my friends!

The path to excellence?

“There is no golden road to excellence; excellence is the golden road. Until you start down this road you will never get there.”-Jim Afremow “A Champions’s mind”.

It’s the manner in which you try to achieve your potential that defines you as a champion, not medals, titles or accolades.

Thank you for sharing this at our morning meeting, Jessica!

Think of your ideal self, what would they think/say/do?

I actually wrote about this in my book (coincidence :)?

When we are faced with a decision (especially a tough one), it is great practice to try to think like our ideal selves.

Stand in that place, of who you truly want to be and make decisions from that perspective.

It is powerful!

Grit defined

I just started reading this book (it was recommended by a friend).

I like it so far!

I am not a Cross Fit athlete but the lessons discussed can help in all walks of life.

I like what he wrote about grit.

We all need grit to succeed no matter what it is we want to succeed at!

Grit defies comfort. In order to grow we need to stretch our boundaries. We need to call and get back up. We need to fuel our lives with grit.

Have a gritty Monday, friends!
